    Patara, later Arsinoe, was a flourishing maritime and commercial city on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey, in Antalya Province. The city was noted in antiquity for its temple and oracle of Apollo, second only to that of Delphi.
    The site is one of the elements included in the UNESCO Tentative List for World Heritage designation, Ancient Cities of Lycian Civilization.
