Mount Nemrut
Mount Nemrut

Nemrut or Nemrud is a mountain located in southeastern Turkey, notable for the summit where a number of large statues are erected around the royal tomb of the Armenian King Antiochus I Theos of Commagene. The ruins of the tomb-sanctuary date back to 62 BC. The mountain was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987.
