Ksar Ba Salem
Ksar Ba Salem (Aghem n’Ba’salem) is a collective fortified granary of the Ighamaouen tradition located in Adrar Province, southwestern Algeria. Built from earth and local stone, it reflects Amazigh (Zenata) architectural practices developed to protect food supplies, especially dates, within the harsh Saharan environment.
The site is one of the elements included in the UNESCO Tentative List for World Heritage designation, Ighamaouen, the Collective Granary-Fortresses of the Touat Gourara Tidikelt Cultural Park.Elevation: 333 m
