Ksar Aouled Mahmoud
Ksar Aouled Mahmoud (Aghem Aouled Mahmoud) is a collective fortified granary belonging to the Ighamaouen tradition in Adrar Province, southwestern Algeria. Built using earth and local stone, it reflects Amazigh (Zenata) architectural practices aimed at protecting shared food reserves and supporting community life in the Saharan environment.
The site is one of the elements included in the UNESCO Tentative List for World Heritage designation, Ighamaouen, the Collective Granary-Fortresses of the Touat Gourara Tidikelt Cultural Park.Elevation: 276 m
