Kherfi and Historical Beehives is historical beehives located around the abandoned village of Kherfi near Taif, Makkah Region, Saudi Arabia. These 500-year-old apiaries, built on curved terraces on a mountain, resemble modern high-rise buildings and could house up to 1,300 beehives. Made of solid stone with stone columns, these structures are part of a cultural landscape that includes agricultural terraces, a protective stone fortress, and the ruins of Kherfi, reflecting an innovative and long-standing honey production tradition.
The site is one of the elements included in the UNESCO Tentative List for World Heritage designation, The Rural Cultural Landscapes of Sarawat Mountains.
