Jami Mosque is one of the oldest mosques in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The building that houses the mosque was originally constructed in 1930 AD by John Francis Brown & Son as the High Park Presbyterian Church. In 1969 AD, the Muslim Society of Toronto acquired the building—thanks to support from King Faisal of Saudi Arabia—to serve as a permanent home for the city's growing Muslim community, making it Toronto’s first permanent mosque.
