Halveti Tekke
Halveti Tekke

Halveti Tekke is a historical Tekke located in Berat, Albania. It was built in 1782 AD by Ahmet Kurt Pasha, an Albanian pasha and the founder and the first ruler of the Pashalik of Berat. The Halveti Tekke belongs to the Khalwati order which is an Islamic Sufi brotherhood (tariqa). Halveti Tekke was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005 as part of Historic Centres of Berat and Gjirokastra.
