Grand Mosque of Tangier is a historic mosque and the main mosque of Tangier, Morocco. It was originally built in the 18th century AD during the reign of the Alaouite Sultan Ismail Ibn Sharif (Moulay Ismail), on the ruins of places of worship dating back to previous historical periods. The mosque was later expanded in the early 19th century (1817-1818).
