    Great Mosque of Fes el-Jdid is a historic mosque located in Fes el-Jdid, Fes, Morocco. It was built in 1276 AD by the Marinid Sultan Abu Yusuf Yaqub ibn Abd al-Haqq when he founded the royal city Fes el-Jdid. The mosque was restored several times later, most importantly in the 17th century, during the reign of the Alaouite dynasty. The Great Mosque of Fes el-Jdid was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981 as part of Medina of Fez.
    The site is one of the elements that make up the UNESCO World Heritage site, Medina of Fez.
