    Figuig is an oasis located in the south eastern tip of Morocco. The town of Figuig is built around an oasis of date palms, called Tazdayt, surrounded by rugged, mountainous wilderness. The site of the rock art, which is located in the mountains range south of the oasis, consists of prehistoric engravings dating to the Neolithic period.
    The site is included on the UNESCO Tentative List under the official name, Oasis of Figuig.
