Fethiye Mosque

Fethiye Mosque is a historical mosque located in Istanbul, Turkey. It was originally the Church of Theotokos Pammakaristos (Pammakaristos Church) which is a Greek Orthodox Byzantine church built between the 11th and the 12 centuries AD. The church was converted into a mosque in 1591 by the Ottoman Sultan Murad III, and renamed in honor of his conquest of Georgia and Azerbaijan.
