Citadel of Cizre is a ruined citadel located on the banks of the Tigris River in the city of Cizre, Şırnak Province, Turkey. The oldest history of the citadel dates back to the Roman and Byzantine periods, while the current citadel dates back to the Zengid dynasty era in the 12th century AD. The citadel was restored in later periods.
