Bounoura, also At bounour, is a historical town located in Ghardaia Province, Algeria. The town dates back to the 11th century AD, when it was founded by the Mozabite Ibadi Berbers in 1048. Bounoura was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1982, as part of M'Zab Valley.
