Banabel is an old Roman-Byzantine site located in northern Syria. The site contains numerous remains dating back to the late Roman period, in addition to some Byzantine structures. Banabel was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of Ancient Villages of Northern Syria in 2011.
