    Awali is a small city located in Southern Governorate, Bahrain. It was founded in 1934 by the Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) for the oil workers. The oil settlement includes a group of residential quarters, multiple public buildings and leisure facilities.
    The site is included on the UNESCO Tentative List under the official name, Awali Oil Settlement.
