    Al-Balad is the historical area of Jeddah, the second largest city of Saudi Arabia.It is the historic center of the City of Jeddah which was founded in the 7th century and historically served as the centre of the city. The site was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2014.
    The site is a UNESCO World Heritage site with the official name, Historic Jeddah, the Gate to Makkah.
