Boma–Badingilo Migratory Landscape
The Boma–Badingilo Migratory Landscape is a vast natural area located in South Sudan, encompassing Boma and Badingilo National Parks and the surrounding savannas, wetlands, and floodplains. The landscape hosts one of the world's largest land mammal migrations, with approximately six million antelopes moving seasonally across the region in search of water and grazing grounds.
It also provides important habitats for elephants, lions, leopards, and numerous bird species. In 2026, the landscape became South Sudan's first UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Boma–Badingilo Migratory Landscape was inscribed in 2026 in the UNESCO World Heritage List in South Sudan.
