Banc d’Arguin National Park is a group of sandy dunes, coastal swamps, and islands located on the Atlantic coast of Mauritania. The area offers a unique wild and marine landscape, where a wide variety of migratory birds spend the winter, and it also harbors several species of sea turtles, rich quantities of fish, as well as dolphins that fishermen use to attract shoals of fish (groups of fish).
Banc d’Arguin National Park was inscribed in 1989 in the UNESCO World Heritage List in Mauritania.
