Wadi Hower National Park
Wadi Hower is one of the largest valleys in the Sahara desert, as it extends from the highlands of Chad and across the desert separating Libya and Sudan to its mouth in the Nile River in the Old Dongola region in the northern state of Sudan. Wadi Howar is one of the most prominent natural features in the southern eastern desert, and is one of the largest national parks in the world.
The park is distinguished by its diverse flora and notable geological features including a volcanic landscape, Meidob volcanic hills, Jebel Rahib, and many paleo lakes. In the park there are also Dorcas gazelles, Barbary sheep, ostriches and other animals.
