Lake Abbe, also known as Lake Abhe Bad, is a salt lake located on the border between Ethiopia and Djibouti. The lake is one of a chain of six connected lakes and is the ultimate destination of the Awash River.
There are several small hot freshwater springs in the lake. In the past, these springs were located at the bottom of the lake, but today they are in the open air reaching a height of between thirty and fifty meters and representing amazing and exceptional natural scenes.
The lake is home to thousands of species of birds, the most important of which are The Greater and the Lesser flamingo.

Lake Abbe was submitted in 2015 to the UNESCO Tentative List in Djibouti as part of Lake Abbe (its cultural landscape, its natural monuments and its ecosystem).
