Ivvavik / Vuntut / Herschel Island is a territorial Park comprised of Ivvavik National Park, Vuntut National Park, and Herschel Island. 1- Ivvavik National Park is a national park located in Canada’s Yukon Territory, bordering Alaska.
The park, which was established in 1984, covers around 10,000 square kilometers and is recognized for its rough Arctic scenery. Wildlife in the area includes the Porcupine caribou herd, grizzly bears, and over 150 bird species.
It is only accessible by plane and provides a distant nature experience with minimal human effect. Hiking, rafting, and wildlife observation are all popular activities.
2- Vuntut National Park is a national park located in northern Yukon, Canada, near Ivvavik National Park and the border with Alaska. The park is critical for the annual migration of the Porcupine caribou herd.
Because it is only accessible by plane, it is one of Canada's least-visited national parks. Hiking, wildlife viewing, and learning about the Vuntut Gwitchin culture are among the activities available.
(Vuntut Gwitchin is a First Nation in the northern Yukon in Canada). 3- Herschel Island, also known as Qikiqtaruk, is a Canadian island located in the Beaufort Sea, off the coast of Yukon.
It is the only offshore island in Yukon. The wildlife of the island includes marine species such as beluga whales and seals, as well as terrestrial animals such as Arctic foxes and lemmings.
Migratory birds such as sandpipers and plovers use the island as a rest stop on their lengthy trips. The vegetation is characteristic of Arctic tundra, with low-growing species such as sedges, mosses, and dwarf shrubs.
Wildflowers such as Arctic poppies and saxifrages bloom in the summer, bringing splashes of color to the environment. The island's ecosystems are vulnerable to climate change, with threats such as thawing permafrost and shifting habitats.

Ivvavik / Vuntut / Herschel Island was submitted in 2004 to the UNESCO Tentative List in Canada.
