Tenes
Tenes or Ténès is an Algerian city located in Chlef Province, west of the Algerian capital. The history of the city dates back to the 8th century BC, when it was founded by Phoenicians. Later, the city was conquered by the Romans, and then the Byzantines. After the 10th century AD, the city entered successively under the control of the Fatimids, the Almoravids, the Almohad Caliphate, and the Zayyanid dynasty, until the Ottomans entered it in 1517 AD.
