Telmessos, Telmessus, Makri, Macre or Anastasiopolis, was the largest city in Lycia which is located today in Muğla Province, Turkey. The city was a member of the Delian League in the 5th century BC and was taken later by Alexander in 334 BC. The name of the modern town on the site is Fethiye.
