Sir Abu Nu’Ayr Island, also Sir al Qawasim, is an island located in the Arabian Gulf and belongs to the Emirate of Sharjah. It is located 110 km from the city of Sharjah. The island has a rich history of marine activity by ancient ships, with settlement dating back to the Bronze Age in the 4th millennium BC.
