The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Bechouat
The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Bechouat is a Marian shrine (dedicated to the Virgin Mary) located in the village of Bechouat in the Baalbek-Hermel Governorate of Lebanon. A Byzantine wooden icon of the Virgin Mary was discovered in a deep cave in 1741 AD, a church was built over the cave, and since then the church has become a place of pilgrimage.
