Honaine
Honaine is a town and commune in Tlemcen Province, Algeria. The ancient history of the city dates back to the Phoenician period, and then expanded in the Roman era and was called "Gypsaria". The city witnessed the height of its prosperity during the Almohad era between the 12th and 13th centuries AD, as it was an impenetrable fortress and a major port for trade across the Mediterranean between Europe and North Africa.
