    Harran was a major ancient city in Upper Mesopotamia whose site is near the modern village of Altınbaşak in Şanlıurfa Province, Turkey. The city is dating back to the Bronze Age in the 3rd millennium BC.
    The site is one of the elements included in the UNESCO Tentative List for World Heritage designation, Harran and Sanliurfa.
