David Gareja Monastery Complex is a rock-cut Georgian Orthodox monastery complex located in the Kakheti region of Georgia. The complex was founded in the 6th century AD by David, one of the thirteen Assyrian monks who arrived in the country at the same time. The monastery saw further developments in the later eras.
