The Basilica-Cathedral of St. John the Baptist is a historic Roman Catholic cathedral located in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. It was built between 1839 and 1855 AD, and serves as the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of St. John's. The basilica-cathedral, designed in the Lombard Romanesque style, is one of the largest and most architecturally significant churches in Canada, known for its twin towers and rich history as a symbol of faith in the region.
