Dahlak Marine National Park
Dahlak Marine National Park is a national park located in the northern Red Sea region of Eritrea. The park consists of the Dahlak archipelago, which is a group of islands in the Red Sea near the city of Massawa, in addition to the surrounding marine waters.
The park is a habitat for marine life including fish, turtles, and marine mammals, in addition to the pearl oysters that the region has been famous for since ancient times. Also, many of the uninhabited islands in the archipelago are prime nesting areas for large numbers of seabirds due to their isolated nature and the availability of rich food in the surrounding area.
