Kasbah of Algiers
Kasbah of Algiers, also Casbah of Algiers, is the fortified citadel of the city of Algiers in Algeria and the traditional quarter clustered around it. Its earliest history dates back to the Phoenician and Roman periods. The current Casbah was built by Ottomans in the 16th century AD. It was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992.
