In 2006, five Aflaj Irrigation Systems of Oman were added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Site: Falaj Al-Khatmeen, Falaj Al-Malki, Falaj Daris, Falaj Al-Mayassar and Falaj Al-Jeela.
